Back at it again, shelves part 1
Started on the shelves. Got the mounts and framing for first shelf in place. Need to cut the top sheet and clean up a few welds and will be all set. Then rinse and repeat a few more times.
Getting ready to start soon, but until then more meat…
Had some friends over for some bbq and beer- made up some chicken thighswith some coleslaw. Yum!
Smoking meat for work
Missed my planned deadline on the smoker build so had to use the old cheap offset smoker for this event, but turned out great!
Full day with help
Had Kettle over to help and was able to make some great progress! Meat locker mostly done.
Superbowl goodies
Took Sunday off, but fired up the old smoker for some bacon wrapped fattys! Pizza, Reuben and ham and cheese!
Starting to weld
Got about 4 hours to work on smoker today, had to cut 3 more pieces of 2″ square tube and then assemble the insulated bottom to the meat locker. Went pretty well, need to finish some grinding on the welds and then it’ll be all set. I could use some better clamps for metal working… Melted one of the ends by mistake.
Baby steps
Cut the other bottom to the meat cabinet with plasma cutter and the first cut of the 2″ tube steel with the chop saw, slow moving…
